Out of this world
With this piece of art, I really loved exploring different ways to create texture and mix colors. I used acrylic paint and a spray finish to hold the paint in place. The flowers took the longest but in the end they turned out great and it looks very nice with the blue background. On the bottom, where the flowers are, is the ground then above that is a continuation of the landscaping. Above that are mountains leading into the actual sky and further more, into space. The cap of the water bottle is the moon and the rocket ship is flying up to land on it. This overall was just a very fun piece to make!
Exploring inside
This was the first piece of art I made in Visual Arts 1. By using regular painting tape, a group of students and I created a dimensional landscape inspired by an assortment of mountains. This project was fun but also challenging. It took alot of patience and concentration but overall it turned out looking very cool.
Fall Feelings
Even though I did not create this in class, this is my most appreciated pieces of clay simply because it's one of my first. This took me about an hour to make but its the first time I had ever learned the basics of clay. As you can tell in the picture, I did not wipe down my clay so its very textured, however the leaves were compressed with real fig leaves and that part is supposed to look the way it does. My inspiration was from my favorite season: fall.
Trail of DNA
As you can tell this art work was done with hands. I wanted to create something simple, but complicated in the sense that people can interpret it in different ways. Instead of using other object to draw with, I wanted to use my hands because I was born with the ability to use them and create art with them.
