Golden Horizon
This painting was a lot of fun to make. Me and Brenna painted it together and in the end the final product turned out great. We were originally going to watch a bob ross video but found that by looking at a picture rather than following along was more beneficial for us to create the painting. We had some issues fading the colors together however, by adding whites and blacks and yellows we were able to get the perfect looks within the paint colors.
Cotton Candy Clouds
Over the process of
Being as though I wanted to grow with painting, I chose to do a picture that tested my abilities. With this painting I had to focus on how much contrast there was, shading, depth, variation of warm and cool colors as well as creating a sense of movement within the water. To do all this, I really had to go out of my comfort zone and just go for it. I think the one thing I realized the most out of this whole experience is to just go with the flow and learn from the mistakes along the way. In the end if you put forth the effort it will look good.
Phases of the Moon
I have always been obsessed with the sun, moon and stars. They are so beautiful because they are unattainable so it makes you image what they really look like close up. It makes you realize how small you are compared to everything else around you. I decided I was going to make the moon phases for my room but I am going to attach them to string and wrap it around a wooden stick. I want to use the resources around me such as a tree stick to being in more of the natural look. The final look will be able to hang on my wall and be glazed a light grey color.
